ReplyDeleteAs someone who - like BB - thrives on putting people in touch with music they love, a few hints: First, try to be as specific as you can. "Anything by Elvis" doesn't exactly help narrow things down. Next, make it clear if you're asking for the single or the album by the same name. Finally, if someone does all the legwork to fill your request, a little "Thanks" goes a lot further than you might imagine.

ReplyDeleteJust a thought, BB, but for those of us limited to our phones, we won't see the sharing page unless we remember, or are able, to visit the web site. And once enough time has gone even this page visible above will disappear from view too. New visitors reliant upon their phones will never know of this valuable resource. It's not a complaint, just a thought. Perhaps an occasional reminder visible on our phone screens? What do you reckon?

ReplyDeleteMoe - I had the same problem on 3 sites. Switching off my adblocker for each individual site returned things to normal. Hope that helps.
DeleteIf a link doesn't work when clicking, highlight the link, right click, tap copy, open a new tab, paste it, and the link will work. that's the way I've been doing it.

DeleteI’ve suspended the Sharing Zone today due to ongoing abuse. It has nothing to do with you. You’ve always been generous and supportive.
When I started the Zone, the idea was that visitors would meet requests by sharing specific items. It wasn’t really intended for large blocks of uploads, even though many people enjoyed that part of it.
I hope you understand the pause and continue to be part of the Butterboy blog experience.

ReplyDeleteThe Help Page for CBox is no help at all. I've tried different browsers (Google Chrome and Firefox, on a Mac). Any suggestions?
I'm using the Sharing Zone. I didn't register with Cbox. I just put my name in the box above Message, wrote a message and pressed return. The system then remembers your chosen name for next time.

Just to clarify things properly the Sharing Zone is suspended for now. It’s not about anything you posted; it’s simply a pause so I can keep the space tidy and reset how it’s being used. When it returns, it will be clearer and easier for everyone to follow.
I appreciate your enthusiasm and the help you’ve given. For the moment, though, the Zone is on hold.
